Fire Up the Sun Within

Classical Hatha Yoga practice at sunrise

Surya Kriya is a potent yogic practice of tremendous antiquity, designed as a holistic process for health, wellness, and complete inner well-being. It activates the solar plexus to raise the samat prana, the solar heat, in the system.

It also balances a person's left and right energy channels, leading to stability of the body and stillness of the mind. This strong foundation becomes the basis to explore higher dimensions of life.

Traditionally available only to select groups of yogis, Surya Kriya is being offered by Sadhguru as a comprehensive spiritual practice ideal for the pace of today's world. This is not a fitness class or a drop-in session. It is a classical transmission. You learn the complete practice over three days and take it home for life.

Classical Hatha Yoga Structured by Sadhguru

Most of what the modern world calls "yoga" has drifted far from its origins, reduced to physical exercise, stripped of its deeper dimensions. Classical Hatha Yoga is a revival of this ancient science in its full depth, purity, and transformative power. Every practice is precisely structured to work on the human system at the level of body, mind, and energy.

These practices are derived from a yogic tradition maintained in its full purity for thousands of years. Unlike modern studio yoga, they are not taught merely for physical fitness. They are a holistic process of naturally achieving mastery over body and mind, so as to come to a state of health, joy, and well-being.

Rasika Sethi

Rasika Sethi

Born in Bangkok, educated at Tufts and Oxford, Rasika spent nine years as a full-time volunteer at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore, India, drawn by her own spiritual seeking.

What began as a personal journey became years of deep involvement. She trained extensively in classical Hatha Yoga, served as a core organizer of Sadhanapada, one of the ashram's residential programs, and was part of the team responsible for training and supporting Hatha Yoga teachers. She regularly taught classes of up to 700 students. Over the years, she has taught more than five thousand students.

She now brings all of that to a room of twelve people. The same practice, the same precision, with the kind of individual attention that a class this size makes possible.
